Pop-Up Art Shows for Up-and-Coming Artists
Founded in 2025 by artists Sephine Milan and Nikko Faber, Pop Goes the Easel is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating accessible, community-driven opportunities for emerging artists in California.
Each year, the organization hosts four pop-up art exhibitions at rotating locations throughout the state, with a focus on the Sacramento Area, Los Angeles, and the San Francisco Bay Area.
All exhibitions are completely free—both for the artists who participate and for the public who attend.
Pop Goes the Easel prioritizes new artists who have never had a solo show, offering them a chance to share their work in a professional, welcoming environment. In addition to solo exhibitions, the organization also curates dynamic group shows that highlight multiple voices and artistic perspectives at once.
Through these inclusive, ever-changing events, Pop Goes the Easel is building a vibrant platform for the next generation of California creatives.
