Be the Spark —Hosted by Futures Explored

Fundraiser to finance the new Creative Arts Center in Concord, CA.

Be the Spark, presented by Futures Explored, gathered supporters across the Bay Area to help expand their new Concord location on October 23, 2025. This fundraiser aimed to raise funds for building projects and production equipment for their Creative Arts & Media program.

Futures Explored empowers individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities by ensuring they have access to meaningful supports, opportunities, and advocacy. The organization provides work‑related training through its Vocation Training & Education program, which offers employment preparation, workplace readiness, and transition support for college or job placement. Participants also benefit from life‑skills education, community integration activities, and a range of recreation and arts programs that build confidence, independence, and meaningful engagement in their communities.

The night drew together families, program participants, educators, and local supporters who believe in expanding inclusive creative opportunities. Pop Goes the Easel provided photography coverage and a full photo booth experience, helping document the celebration and highlight the students’ work. With strong community turnout, Be the Spark closed as a successful step toward strengthening Futures Explored’s mission.
