“Raising our voices against this administration’s cruelty, hate, and lawlessness”
Protest Songs in the Park brought together a lineup of local Los Angeles musicians at Valley Village Park on October 26, 2025, to use their voices against hate. This public gathering provided a space for raw expression and unfiltered storytelling —free from censorship and corporate influence.
The event served as an open community performance and a platform for free speech, with each artist presenting an original song tied to their personal worldview. Organized primarily by Joe Benstock, the night featured musicians you may know from Kulak’s Woodshed—each sharing perspectives shaped by their lived experiences. Pop Goes the Easel supported the evening by providing photography and videography coverage for the event.
The diverse range of topics reflected the wide spectrum of American and Californian viewpoints, drawing an engaged audience who welcomed the honesty and vulnerability of each performance. With strong local support, the group hopes to continue organizing more Protest Concerts in their fight for uncensored free speech.
Thank you to everyone who joined and helped bring this gathering to life.
